Ust Rahmat spoke about the events and lessons behind Isra’ and Mi’raj. These are the points which I managed to jot down and share with you.
1. When The Messenger SAW and Jibreel AS reached the first door, the angel guarding it asked a series of questions. When the angel asked who was there, Jibreel replied, saying his name. That is the adab of answering the person behind the door, to mention your own name when being asked who.
2. The speaker emphasized the system implemented in the gates leading up to Allah’s throne. There is a gatekeeper at every door who has to probe the visitor intending to pass through it. Ust reiterated the need for systems in our lives so that we can be a more effective and efficient people.
3. Islam makes sure that you’re honest so that people won’t have doubts about what you. It is important to follow the example of Rasulullah SAW when it comes to safeguarding one’s pride as he was called Al-Amin (The Trusted One) and everyone knows he is an honest man.
